Years of research experience as a genealogist and library specialist

Researching family history opens doors to self-discovery, new-found relationships
and an appreciation of each person’s unique place in history
.

Over the course of researching professionally for the past five decades, I have decided to close my services due to health issues which have not allowed me to perform up to my (not others) professional standards. It's heartbreaking, because clients were an incredible gift to me leading to alternative thinking when uncovering their true identity and more.

My greatest adventure was working for the Department of National Defence, Canada, researching for living DNA to place a name on an unknown soldiers' grave from World War I. The passion came through from the beginning of locating Attestation papers to receiving that wild confirmation from living ancestors to have their DNA analyzed to hopefully bind the generations of nearly 110 years. Some wild expectations, but accurately true.

I am tremendously grateful for the years of service and the results accomplished for each client.

Yours truly, Lyn Meehan, Researcher

I’ve been researching for the origins of my wife’s grandfather for sixteen years. Although I’ve gathered an impressive amount of information, I couldn't prove the date and place of his British birth. This situation changed dramatically after I met with Lyn Meehan. She quickly helped me reorganize and analyze my data, and provided strategies to get around the road blocks. I recommend Lyn’s services to anyone.

Lyn poured her heart and soul, and mastery of genealogy into compiling documents, maps, photographs and history on the Starrs of Tattyreagh, Ireland. Weaving together the lives and times of our family members, she produced a report bursting with vivid and fascinating detail. My relatives loved it. Thank you, Lyn!

Our case was challenging because client information did not correlate with records. Lyn's professionalism, suggestions, insights and response style led us to a successful breakthrough in Salt Lake City. She was the only individual of fifteen we contacted who met the qualifications we were seeking in a professional researcher. That was impressive to us! We look forward to recommending her to others (and using her as a Canadian Subcontracting Researcher.)

— Mary E. Petty, B.A., VP HEIRLINES, Salt Lake City
